E.G. Yarborough, Co. F, 50th Regiment, NC Troops, applied for a pension on July 6, 1914 at age 71. He gave his address then as Shannon in Hoke County. His widow, Florence Yarborough of Cumberland County, applied for a widow's pension on July 6, 1937 at age 60. She stated that she married E.G. Yarborough on July 2, 1902, that he died on June 8, 1925, and that he last drew a pension in 1924 in Fayetteville.
On May 1, 1939, she applied for an increase in pension from class B and on
May 12, 1947 she applied again for an increase in pension to class A.
