"...Sylvia Ann Norris b.bet. 1873-1878 (her family thinks she was born in Feb. 1874) in Johnston Co., NC. She had one sister older than her, China Norris b. 1872. The date on her tombstone was a guess by my mother and her brothers because my grandma didn't know her date of birth or year. She could not read or write. She married Joseph Cylvester Faircloth, b. May 18, 1882. My grandma always told me she was 10 years older than grandpa and even changed his diapers. Eight years is good.(I think she was kidding about the diapers!!) Children of Joseph and Sylvia are: 1. Marvin McKenley Faircloth, b. June 15, 1904, d. May 1995. 2. Stella Faircloth, b. Dec. 23, 1906, d. April 3, 1936. 3. Lola Faircloth, b. 1908, d. unknown (died as a child). 4. Colden Everett Faircloth, b. Nov. 14, 1909, d. Dec. 1976 (twin). 5.Corae Ellen Faircloth, b. Nov. 14, 1909, d. Nov. 10, 1910 (twin). 6.
