Herman (Barbour) was first married to Pearl (Barefoot). All I know about her is that she died around 33 years old, probably in 1930. She died during surgery for some kind of tumor. They had several children. Three made it to adullthood and two of the babies are buried with her in a private cemetary just outside of Dunn in a cornfield. The cemetary is on 421 across from the Wendy's. You can just barely make it out as it is overgrown and the corn hides it.

I WENT TO THE OLD CEMETARY TODAY AND PEARL BAREFOOT IS BURIED THERE. AFTER MUCH SEARCHING I DID FIND HER HEADSTONE. HER BIRTHDAY WAS JUNE 6 1904 AND SHE DIED ON SEPTEMBER 26 1929. I COULDNT READ THE STONES FOR THE 2 CHILDREN THAT DIED. I BELEIVE SHE MIGHT HAVE BEEN BORN IN SAMPSON CO
