' MATTHEWS RITES SET FOR TUESDAY"
Millard F. Matthews. a retired Angier merchant, died Sunday at his home. He was 76.
He had been in the oil and service station business for the past several years. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion Post No. 436 in Angier.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Neil's Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. A. Gerald McKay and Rev. R. Lewis Beal will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Crowder Matthews; a son G. Edward Matthews of Angier; two sisters Mrs. Mavis Stephenson of Morganton and Mrs. Gertie Tindell (Tyndall)of Coats; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
