      In the name of God Amen. I Charlotte Stephens of the county of Johnson and state of North Carolina being now weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and declare this to be my last will and Testament as follows. Towit: * ----*in the first place it is my will and desire that all my debts shall be paid. Then I give to my beloved son Alvin Stephens the bed, bedstead and furniture through which I have commonly used as my own, also my yoke of steers and oxcart.
      Also one cow and calf also one equitable of the negro property to which I am or shall be entitled *------* of estate of my deceased husband, William Stephens. Second I give and bequeath to my beloved son William Stephesn my other *-----* bed *--------* furniture and bedstead, and the cow and calf the one equitable share with the rest of my heirs, *------* excepted *------* the equitable remaining half of my negro property as above described,
      Thrid I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughters, Dillary, Charlotte and Nancy all my wearing apparel to be equally and equitably divided amongst them. And lastly I give and bequeath to my beloved son Burt L. Stephens and my three named daughters all the residue of my estate both real and personal to be equally and equitable divided between them share and share alike. Also it is my will and desire that my debts shall be paid out of the dispersal of my estate which shall *------* after issuing and dividing off to my above named sons Alvin and William their *--------* *--------* *--------*.
